So, I was talking to some of Mr. Bruno's '09 AP Lit. class and asking them what sort of ideas they had for their project last year. They had really creative ideas, but nothing that I would ever do in front of a class. Choosing an idea is going to be insanely hard for me, since I've got stage fright like you wouldn't believe. I know Mr. Bruno said no posters, but could I make a diorama? Or a mobile? I have zero creativity when it comes to projects.
How is everyone else's project going?

I myself do not fully understand what we are suppose to create. I know there are the questions we are suppose to answer, but that's it. Currently I am too busy worrying about the Beowulf sheet we need to fill out by Monday, answering of the blog questions, and studying for my German, Drafting, Government, and Physics midterms I have this week.
ReplyDeleteGood luck you guys. If it makes you feel any better, you're further along than I am.

ReplyDeleteI'm having the same dilemma! This creative project compared to the 1984 creative project is so much more difficult. It difficult to think of a way to express the way you felt about something creatively
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could think about your strengths and talents and focus your project around those? Even though you may have stage fright, you could always make a video or record a piece of music or do something that doesn't involve you just presenting something to the class and talking the whole time. I think I might do something with music and connect it to the way a poem made me feel. But I don't know for sure yet. I would just suggest thinking about the things you enjoy doing or know you're good at and then tie them into a piece of poetry.
ReplyDeleteI plan on finding poems before I create my visual. I have some idea of what I want to do but it always helps me to have the poems read so I can see exactly what they are trying to illustrate before I make my project. So if you try that you might get some sort of idea on what you could create. Also what Natalie said about playing off you strengths is totally true. You almost always do a better job if you play off your strengths. I hope this helps.
ReplyDeleteGuys,
ReplyDeleteThe purpose of the visual you create is to represent how you have changed in your appreciation/approach to poetry.
Happy Thinking,
Mr. B
