Some advice

The Lit. Bible has already discussed this a few chapters before, but I actually tried it today. I read a few poems out loud, and it helped me understand them a lot better. One particular poem that I've heard a thousand times, but I never really took the time to figure out what it meant is "Dream Deferred" by Langston Hughes on page 732. It just looked like a bunch of questions being asked without any real resolution. But as I read it out loud, I realized the real meaning of the poem. Even the first line (What happens to a dream deferred?) instantly made a lot more sense to me. It basically means, "What happens to your dreams when you don't pursue them?" The questions aren't random, they list a series of similes describing what can happen to a dream if you don't follow it. The last line (or does it explode?) is last and italicized for a reason. It shows the worse thing that happen with a deferred dream, also the most destructive. I'm really glad I decided to read the poem out loud. You guys should really try it.
