The Taming of the Shrew
This is a Shakespearian comedy that focuses on men and women relationships. The story unfolds when we find out that a rich family has two daughters one of which is horrendous and the other that if like a white dove whose beauty is too miraculous to be described. The father tells all the bachelors that the beautiful daughter may not marry until the older and uglier one finds a husband to wed her. Eventually a weirdo comes along and is looking to scoop up a rich woman who will bring him wealth and prosperity. He forces the ugly daughter to marry him and he treats her like an a caged lion. He eyes her as only an object of interest that will benefit him financially and not as a loving wife. Now since the older sister is married that leaves the open window for all the other bachelors to prounce on their prey and savagely destroy and conquer. They throw up desguises left and right which gets a little confusing because you forget who is who but finally one of them weds the young daughter. All in all, I do not reccommend the book and suggest watching stand up comedy on television if you want to find real humor.
