In the play "The Taming of The Shrew" by William Shakespeare, it is a play about a play. The play is about 2 sisters. The younger sister is Bianca and the older sister is Katherina. Bianca, even though she is younger than Katherina, she already has men looking at her for marriage. The older sister Katherina does not. The sisters father will not allow any man to marry Bianca until Katherina is married first. No man wants to marry Katherina because of her attitude. Petruchio is the man who later in the play marries Katherina. Petruchio throughout the play is on a mission to "Tame the Shrew." The Shrew is his wife Katherina. Petruchio figured that if he could break her spirit and control her she would be a suitable wife. He had so much control on Katherina to the point where she thought the sun was the moon and the moon was the sun. Now that Katherina is married, her little sister Bianca is "up for grabs." Bianca is married to Lucentio. When the men in the story are together one day, they could not believe that Petruchio was able to break her down and controle her. They were proved wrong when everyone including thier wives were together and Katherina tells them that she believes a good wife should always do as thier husband says.
This play for me was not that hard to understand, but I missed some of the key parts of the book. I wuld recomend reading a modern version of the play if the you finished the book and didn't understand what you just read.

This story seems like a good story about a spoiled girl who, for once, can't get what she wants simply because she wants it. She needs to realize that if her attitude sucks, then no one is going to want to be around a spoiled and entitled brat. It's not a very endearing quality and no one wants to be married to someone that self-centered because she'll just make her husband feel like he's never good enough for her.
