Future doctors, lawyers, Marines (or present or whatever...sorry Phil...lol), teachers, and just in general awesome people, singers, actors, etc...
So, I made a thank you note for Mr. Bruno, only one of my teachers. Then I realized that all of you guys were my teachers as well. i learned so much in this class that I'll be able to apply to the rest of my life. So, for your honesty, your friendships, your lessons, your kindness, your love, your everything. I say thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Whether I see you guys again or not, I do nothing but wish the absolute BEST for all of you.
Love you all,
Ty
P.S. Andy never dressed as Doug...hahaha

Awww...How nice! I feel the same exact way. I'm not writing this because Mr. Bruno can read it, but I truly feel this class positively affected me in more ways than one. I did not solely learn of literature and composition, but of life lessons that will remain with me in any future endeavors. I too will say thanks to Mr. Bruno and to my classmates. : )
ReplyDeleteHere's something I noticed in class all the time, and especially at our awards banquet: our class is really like this cute little family. We had our squabbles, but what will stick with me was the friendly atmosphere of our class, how comfortable I felt in there by the end of the year, and basically how entertaining it was. I don't remember too many times when I felt bored. I'd also like to wish our class luck as we venture off to college/the Marines--Phil :)
ReplyDeleteMr. Bruno, it was great. Thank you.
Because I don't know how to make my own blog, I'm going to branch of Andy's a little bit. Where is everyone going next year and what do they plan on doing? And what have you learned in English class this year that has helped you prepare for next year. I'm going to Virginia Tech as an Engineer major. I will use the knowledge I learned of writing papers properly, especially since I will have to do some term papers. Bruno made some good points regarding philosophy of life as well that I plan on using. Like the box question, you can't be outside of the box it just gets bigger. Maybe one day I will calculate the side of the box and bring back my mathematical findings to Mr. Bruno. (Just kidding of course). But thank you everyone for everything you have taught me in class. Now everyone go out there and expand that box!
ReplyDeleteAww, that's really nice of you Tyler! I still remember the fact that you were the very first person to talk to me when I moved here and went to Rodney Thompson so it's interesting to see how far we've come and changed. :) I would agree and say that I learned not only from Mr. Bruno, but we as classmates had a lot of self learning going on. We were like parasites and fed on one another for knowledge. (I just realized parasite may not be a nice way to describe us. lol sorry) But you all get the picture. I do not regret taking this class and I plan to take what I learned into the future with me in hopes of nothing but success. :)
ReplyDeletei agree! although i usually had no idea what everyone on the other side of the classroom was talking about, sometimes it made sense. you guys have amazing minds and made me consider things that i never would have before. i loved when mr. bruno would allow the students to take over the discussion and we were given the opportunity to help each other grow. instead of being told what the answer was (which was extremely annoying sometimes) we were made to figure it out. we built off each others' ideas until we finally had it. i think everyone in that class has a very bright future ahead of them.
ReplyDeleteI had a blast, guys, really. This was, most likely, the first academic class I've enjoyed more than 75% of the time. Everyone was open and entertaining, it wasn't a complete joke, people participated and didn't shut others' opinions down, like in so many other classes. It was honestly refreshing, and I loved it. And, though I felt like throwing my desk at him at the time, Mr. Bruno's ambiguity in answering questions has made me a different kind of learner, and I thank him for that. It was fun, guys. And I wish all of you the best in the future, for I've been blessed to have been in the company of such great individuals.
ReplyDeleteawwww warm fuzzies all around! Thanks Tyler!
ReplyDeleteHaving finished High School, i can officially say this was my all time best class of public education ever. It was a perfect combination of awesome subject material, an awesome teacher, and awesome classmates.
I've never had a class before where I always felt like my comments were welcome. Like Kelly said, our class felt like a big family. Believe it or not, in all my other classes, i'm actually a quiet kid. But this class has such wonderful people I always feel confident and supported. We really had a great mix of people. And now it's over! D': TT^TT
Well it was fun while it lasted. :)

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed everyone in the class and I will miss all of you. Now its only a matter of days until the BIG day. Hey come visit me sometimes haha... I am just 2860 miles away. I hope to see you all after high school. This class markes the first time I accomplished many things. Also I got to meet really nice people.
ReplyDeleteby the way...Thanks Tyler!
This was very thoughtfull :)
ReplyDeleteThis was very nice :) I learned so much from this class. Everyone had great insight on all the books and helped me understand them so much better. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteTyler, you are such a sweetheart! Thanks for always having my back in class :) It was nice having a fellow optimist sit by me.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree, Kelly A. Though he does make fun of me a lot, lol.
ReplyDeleteTyler's right, no pun intended. All of our classmates have contributed to the class in some shape or form, and if we do that out in the real world, I believe we can make things happen.
