It's really compelling and thought-provoking. And I thought that "The Garden Party" was amazing.
ReplyDeleteSo far- it has been great. I never thought about literature the way Foster does. I am glad I am reading this first so when I read the rest of the books for the assignment, it will be easier to understand the author's intentions.
ReplyDeleteIt gives a lot of insight as to what details to pay attention to in a story. I feel I have a much better understanding of certain symbols in literature, and I feel that I am a more informed reader now.
ReplyDeleteFor me, Foster became less and less appetizing the further I read. The peice started off stong, humerous and interesting, but later turned into another dull op-ed peice of litterature. Every chapter was new information that I was learning, but the more I read the less intereting it became. With my pace slowly decreasing this peice took me longer than I expected, unfortunately. On the other hand, it was nice to have something a little lengthy to read at the beach.
